Round 1 2011 CAMS NSW Supersprint Championship

Eastern Creek turned on some heatwave conditions for this year's opening round, with track temperatures climbing towards 60 deg. Anyone on new rubber would need to be patient, or risk wasting a set of fresh tyres.

In the end it was an MNR clean sweep of class 5B, with Mark Lowing taking first, his 1:42.1 quick enough for 8th outright. 2nd went to Campbell Wilson ( 1:44.1 and 11th outright). Adam Savic's hard charge through the day grabbed him third in class with a 1:45.6 and a personal best.

As usual SVA class saw some close competition with Alan Swinton's 1:45.8 just edging out Dave Lewis' 1:46.0 for the win.

Cadwell Park UK Trackday

For something a little different here are some MNR Vortx's competing at a recent trackday at Cadwell Park. Looking a lot cooler than here, the track's layout is typical of many UK circuits, following the lay of the land. Imagine a mix of the old Amaroo Park and Oran Park.
